I see it in the wind
This unoriginal sin
Pumping shit into the sky
Leaves the kids asking why
But you can't beat the sunsets
Bright orange and red
With the light filtering through
All the poison in the sky
And so the heavens cry
Acid tears fall on pristine lakes
And if you can't hook a fish
You know exactly why
So just look at the mesmerising sky
and cry a tear for the future
Dead lakes full of dead fish
And water you can't drink
But go ahead and fill up your car
It'll take you around this world

No Molotov's!
Some still think that to make new things better
we have to burn down the infamous past
as if eliminating a letter
would make a saint from every scholiast
or that torching down entire abodes
will magically trans-mutate neighborhoods
into someplace where no ethic corrodes
in swaps between all services and goods...
to say nothing of the environment
stung by the fallout from the toxic flames
which planned disassembly would circumvent
with less pollution from the timber frames...
since who knows what else was in that old...

World Demise
Humans are destroying mother earth
fertile lands toxic, decaying rebirth
air, land and sea are heavily polluted
deforestation, extinction, trees uprooted
corporations profit, not a care for our well being
asthma, emphysema, difficulties breathing
diseased wildlife, FDA approves to consume
aquatic life tainted, lead in our blood stream, awaiting doom
man made diseases, a global threat to our demise
extinction is certain, time to revolt, time to rise
fertile lands toxic, decaying rebirth

nor Missouri nor in Arkansas
same goes for Georgia till I've purged my sin,

The pandemic is still lurking
An anagram of moronic-Omicron
Is soon to be joined by monkey pox
Another sickness, to tick another box
Climate change is worsening
Not enough done to counter this
Short term profits, are the order of the day

Black As Coal
A triad
Of terrocotta chimney pots
Stood poised
Like a smoke breathing Cerberus
Feigning
As if to swoop down
Into the early grey of night
And pounce upon it's prey
Talons tearing
But they remain still
As puffs of dark grey
Invade the darkening sky
And ashen clouds
The night closes in
As the terrocotta chimney pots
Like ghosts
Slowly immersed
Into the beckoning shadows
As the grey
Turns black as coal

A Change is as Good as a Rest
I used to stand on issues of the day
to walk, to bus, reducing CO2,
a pescatarian, I was one too,
but now I’ve realised how slight my sway.
When other’s throw environment away
I can’t correct that which the masses skew,
and if they see no wrong in what they do,
I do not lead, when I am waif and stray.
It’s clear you do not wish to be like me,
let me like you, enjoy a BLT,
at least whilst I recover BMI,
then may return to eating pie in sky.
Moral, I never was no Jesus Christ,
it was complex, the way the threads were...

Rock, And Roll Is Dead
Geology
The first rock, and roll
Mossy stones
That lie dormant
Possessing fossils
Locked within a frozen groove
Now
We mostly have
Bricks, and mortar
Manmade control
No longer rock, and roll
Concrete jungles
Seems to be the way ahead
As mother nature
Now within reach
Of the land of the dead
Mankind conquered
The natural world
Not comprehending the damage
That has begun to unfurl
Humanity as yet
To fully appreciate
As we grow our harvests
Biting the hand
That feeds us....... ...
The first rock, and roll

You are the filth
I walk the streets where I live
Everything is filthy
All the walls are covered in spray paint
The ground is covered in garbage
Dogshit in little piles
The people are fat, poor & ugly
Wasteful & slow
Every once in a while someone will put a new coat of paint on the front of their store
Before the paint is dry, the wall is covered with graffiti
When someone tries to clean the streets, they are covered in dogshit in a few hours
You have had too much for too long
You are the filth
There's not much that can be done with you ...
