"Rockin' In The Free World"

There's colors on the street
Red, white and blue
People shufflin' their feet
People sleepin' in their shoes
But there's a warnin' sign
on the road ahead
There's a lot of people sayin'
we'd be better off dead
Don't feel like Satan,
but I am to them
So I try to forget it,
any way I can.

Keep on rockin' in the free world,
Keep on rockin' in the free world
Keep on rockin' in the free world,
Keep on rockin' in the free world.

I see a woman in the night
With a baby in her hand
Under an old street light
Near a garbage can
Now she puts the kid away,
and she's gone to get a hit
She hates her life,
and what she's done to it
There's one more kid
that will never go to school
Never get to fall in love,
never get to be cool.

Keep on rockin' in the free world,
Keep on rockin' in the free world
Keep on rockin' in the free world,
Keep on rockin' in the free world.

We got a thousand points of light
For the homeless man
We got a kinder, gentler,
Machine gun hand
We got department stores
and toilet paper
Got styrofoam boxes
for the ozone layer
Got a man of the people,
says keep hope alive
Got fuel to burn,
got roads to drive.

Keep on rockin' in the free world,
Keep on rockin' in the free world
Keep on rockin' in the free world,
Keep on rockin' in the free world

Gina Soaked Boy
by The Divine Comedy

Songwriters: HANNON, NEIL

I'm the darkness in the light
I'm the leftness in the right
I'm the rightness in the wrong
I'm the shortness in the long
I'm the goodness in the bad
I'm the saneness in the mad
I'm the sadness in the joy
I'm the gin in the gin-soaked boy

I'm the ghost in the machine
I'm the genius in the gene
I'm the beauty in the beast
I'm the sunset in the east
I'm the ruby in the dust
I'm the trust in the mistrust
I'm the Trojan horse in Troy
I'm the gin in the gin-soaked boy

I'm the tiger's empty cage
I'm the mystery's final page
I'm the stranger's lonely glance
I'm the hero's only chance
I'm the undiscovered land
I'm the single grain of sand
I'm the Christmas morning toy
I'm the gin in the gin-soaked boy

I'm the world you'll never see
I'm the slave you'll never free
I'm the truth you'll never know
I'm the place you'll never go
I'm the sound you'll never hear
I'm the course you'll never steer
I'm the will you'll not destroy
I'm the gin in the gin-soaked boy

I'm the half-truth in the lie
I'm the why not in the why
I'm the last roll of the die
I'm the old school in the tie
I'm the spirit in the sky
I'm the catcher in the rye
I'm the twinkle in her eye
I'm the Jeff Goldblum in "The Fly"

Who am I?

Christ! You know it ain't easy,
You know how hard it can be.
The way things are goin',
They're gonna crucify me."

Nuclear by mike oldfield

Standing on the edge of the crater
Like the prophets once said
and the ashes are all cold now
No more bullets and the embers are dead
Whispers in the air tell the tales
Of the brothers gone
Desolation, devastation
What a mess we made, when it all went wrong

Watching from the edge of the circus
For the games to begin
Gladiators draw their swords
form their ranks for Armageddon

I'm nuclear
I'm wild
I'm breaking up inside
A heart of broken glass
Defiled
Deep inside
The abandoned child

Standing on the edge of the underworld
Looking at the abyss
and I'm hoping for some miracle
To breakout, to escape from all this
Whispers in the air tell the tales
of a life that's gone
Desolation, devastation
What a mess we made, when it all went wrong

I'm nuclear
I'm wild
I'm breaking up inside
A heart of broken glass
Defiled
Deep inside
The abandoned child

I'm nuclear
I'm wild
I'm breaking up inside
A heart of broken glass
Defiled
Deep inside
The abandoned child

In the ghetto living for better days
Free styling at terry park like everyday
Hitting licks
Craving to buy a pair of Js
But you see the dope boys buy like 20 pair a day

Jane Says....Janes Addiction

Jane says
I've never been in love
I don't know what it is
Only knows if someone wants her
I want them if they want me
I only know they want me

She gets mad
And she starts to cry
She takes a swing man
She cant hit!
She don't mean no harm
She just dont know
What else to do about it

Stranger when you look at me,
Eyes strong as steel, light as day,
Born a mystery, you're the in between,
Boy or girl...

Empathy for Leviathan by Oceano

I am disgusted at the sight of your breed. I am the ocean stained of your existence. I am Leviathan, the great demolisher, conducting form beneath. I shall sumit your futile species through infinite tortures of the deep. Abandoning you emaciated, amongst darkness. It pleases me to witness your macerated corpse endure torment at these depths. Until this moment did you not expect any repercussion? You're just as guilty as all the rest. There is no god to pray to for deliverance. At these depths he does not exist. So believe in me. BELIEVE IN ME

What a Fool Believes by The Doobie Brothers

He came from somewhere back in her long ago
The sentimental fool don't see
Tryin' hard to recreate
What had yet to be created once in her life
She musters a smile
For his nostalgic tale
Never coming near what he wanted to say
Only to realize
It never really was

She had a place in his life
He never made her think twice
As he rises to her apology
Anybody else would surely know
He's watching her go

But what a fool believes he sees
No wise man has the power to reason away
What seems to be
Is always better than nothing
And nothing at all keeps sending him...

Somewhere back in her long ago
Where he can still believe there's a place in her life
Someday, somewhere, she will return

She had a place in his life
He never made her think twice
As he rises to her apology
Anybody else would surely know
He's watching her go

But what a fool believes he sees
No wise man has the power to reason away
What seems to be
Is always better than nothing
There's nothing at all
But what a fool believes he sees...

"Bright Eyes" by Lua,

I’ve got a flask inside my pocket we can share it on the train
If you promise to stay conscious I will try and do the same
We might die from medication, but we sure killed all the pain
But what was normal in the evening, by the morning seems insane.

"Coal" - Blackbird Raum

The pillars of the world were shaking like the legs of a drunk
Hot winds ripped the hats off all the ladies all about town that day
Then they caught us,ran us ragged, beat us bloody, put us in a dirty cage
Now we're screaming bloody murder, we are starving, won't see the ocean side again

Continents and mountain ranges, boats out in the harbor,
Rivers, clouds, and cities all aflame
The sun went out, the sky went red, the horses are dancing in their skins
The taste of ash and sulfur on our lips
Where is my boy, where is my son, I seem to have lost him in the crowd,
He was holding to my hand just a moment ago
I know he cannot find his way, he is so small, he is so lean,
he looks like a scrap of paper on a branch

I am flesh and you are pale, I am sleeping, you are dead,
We're all playing cards as the ship goes down
We're living as if we are not, hanging from a precipice,
Shuddering and lurching off the edge
But someday this will all be gone, as fast a match can be struck,
Take warning for the veil is very thin
The signs aren't difficult to read: we tread so heavy on the ground
And one day the ground it may give way

I see you gilded gentlemen, I wish I'd set a torch to you
while I still had the freedom of my legs
I do not trust you with my life,
I do not trust you with my past,
I do not trust your hands upon the world
But now I'm sunken in the ground, all my strength to move is gone
and screaming is the last recourse that I have
You've left us with a barren Earth, we know we are the aching land,
A scorching waste with all the life of coal
