Hail to Jamaica, the Island of Springs!
Peace on her meadows her radiance flings.
Beauty and gladness have made thee, dear land,
The loveliest spot in earth’s wide, watered strand.”

summers shall not cease,
nor springtime, while the breeze
hoola-hoops the mango leaves
and stirs the guinep trees.

every tear of him who grieves,

In the center of a hurricane there is absolute peace and
quiet. There is no safer place than in the center of the will
of God.”—Corrie Ten Boom
her kiss was not the dew at dawn,
her rouge no golden hue;
the spirit of the gentle faun
found here no xanadu.
she raped the wealth of pleasant lands,
havocked the caribbleau,
life’s peace accord, torn, in her hands,
her winds a wild tableau.
pillaging roofs and trees and boats,
her anger made a stew,

I am Earthborn
The seeds of my soul were sown in the throes of creation,
With the fabric of two woven into a distinction.
Upon a deep winter night with the howls of the surrounding season,
My heart came aflame, and spoke of bare trees and distant sun.
The winds of the storm shall howl across the land my true name,
For Earthborn I am; of Land and Sky I am made a man.
And on these deep winter nights, songs of creation echo in my heart,
For I am man; I am a force of nature -
Her!
I am Earthborn!
So here I stand; fury of winter in body of man, ...
With the fabric of two woven into a distinction.
Upon a deep winter night with the howls of the surrounding season,
My heart came aflame, and spoke of bare trees and distant sun.
The winds of the storm shall howl across the land my true name,

Off to the lands
Of a thousand dreams
Another world
Where the sun shines
Blue, and green
That isn't quite
The Utopia
It imagines it is
For within this world
Lie monsters
Demons with smiling faces
And pleasant demeanors
With a dark inner side
Superficial niceties
And a smile
That would eat you alive
As dark as Sambuka
Without the sweetness
There-in lingers
The dark caves
No gold filled dragon hoards
Or witches curses
Or abstract puzzles to solve
Nor truths to find
The caves...

You'd think
That
Dealing with climate change
Would be top
Of any political agenda
Seems like
Saving the planet
Is no longer

A Change is as Good as a Rest
I used to stand on issues of the day
to walk, to bus, reducing CO2,
a pescatarian, I was one too,
but now I’ve realised how slight my sway.
When other’s throw environment away
I can’t correct that which the masses skew,
and if they see no wrong in what they do,
I do not lead, when I am waif and stray.
It’s clear you do not wish to be like me,
let me like you, enjoy a BLT,
at least whilst I recover BMI,
then may return to eating pie in sky.
Moral, I never was no Jesus Christ,
it was complex, the way the threads were...

Mother Earth's Day
Mother Earth is
becoming dirty
Which is very hot
but the dirtier she
becomes the more
the world becomes
dangerous so keep
the world clean
so that we can
be safe
Let Mother Earth
enjoy orgasmic bliss
over and over
again in a
clean world
becoming dirty

Ghost Trees
Graveyards
Lie together
Branch to branch
Decomposing
Feeding thousands
Within it's own eco system
Bulldozers
And cutting machines
Turning the rich woodland
Into wasteland
The earth churned up
Then squashed down
So underground inhabitants
Cannot breathe
They are now suffocating
Whilst the trees
Are sliced, and diced
The monsters
With big hungry fangs
Start the trees screaming
Muted by the murderers teeth
Chainsaws
Chewing away at the flesh
Woodpulp, no fiction
Sawdust...

Rock, And Roll Is Dead
Geology
The first rock, and roll
Mossy stones
That lie dormant
Possessing fossils
Locked within a frozen groove
Now
We mostly have
Bricks, and mortar
Manmade control
No longer rock, and roll
Concrete jungles
Seems to be the way ahead
As mother nature
Now within reach
Of the land of the dead
Mankind conquered
The natural world
Not comprehending the damage
That has begun to unfurl
Humanity as yet
To fully appreciate
As we grow our harvests
Biting the hand
That feeds us....... ...

april songs (Theme 2): elements of life 10
april song 20—light (finale)
"For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath
shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of
God in the face of Jesus Christ."—2nd Corinthians 4:4
'tis the wonder of all wonders
that the spirit of man ponders:
is there life in utter darkness?
is there peace where dwells no kindness?
'tis a world rife with disaster,
when the dark becomes our master;
his blindfold is meant to strangle
knave and saint who with him...

april songs (Theme 2): elements of life 9
april song 19—darkness
heedless, speedless, sourceless darkness
—to some souls a dreadful starkness—
where’s your hiding place at daylight,
with earth’s doors and windows airtight?
are you truly liberated
from the things man has created,
bearing naught of shape or substance
in th’ arena of the sun dance?
are your features gaunt or cheerful
when our children huddle, fearful
of the biting, stifling clutches
of your finger-crawling touches?
are you stronger than the sunlight,
even when it...

april songs: elements of life 7
april song 17—dust
in the paths of puffing billy
(though, at first, it sounds so silly),
citizens of every nation
tremble at wild-dust invasion.
his passport is universal
and his threats know no reversal;
birds and mammals take a dust bath
to routinely ease his gust wrath.
embryonic to the human
race, ‘tis dust makes up the true man,
and to dust he soon returneth,
when the breath in him adjourneth.
nasa stardust has a duty
(and we should all join the tutti)
to reduce saharan nuisance,
