World of Filth
Humans are destroying mother earth
fertile lands toxic, decaying rebirth
air, land and sea are heavily polluted
deforestation, extinction, trees uprooted
corporations profit, not a care for our well being
asthma, emphysema, difficulties breathing
diseased animals, FDA approves to consume
aquatic life tainted, lead in our blood stream, awaiting doom
man made diseases, a global threat to our demise
extinction is certain, time to revolt, time to rise

Vast
I look into the vast pale blue sky
With travelling cloud giants passing by.
How small am I?
Crows squawk a foreboding language.
At the often absurdity of simply being human.
Trying to fit large ego's into tiny toned bodies.
Our problems pale as to the fate of the earth.
Denial never felt so good to the masses.
Climb out of your box.
And look around, wide eyed
At beauty's enormity in every species of life.
Give up your false theory
that the world revolves around you.
The world is vast, let's ensure it lasts.

earthen
with guttural throat calls, the magic begins
deep in my soul, I am stirred
turning in the aether my being unfurled
tree guardians lay witness
Mother Earth is awakened
she will never sleep again
the drumming continues and the spirits rise
this is a sacred ceremony not meant for the faint
feign not understanding
some are aware, some are not
an ancient language summons the blood of the innocent
it pours from her womb
conjured from the dirt
each testifies to the truth
listening intently nature lays witness ...

He's been trained
To walk properly
He knows what
He's supposed to do
But the problem is
He's a terrier
Born to explore
The entire universe
In a single day
Sniffing every
Inch of road
Along the way
Perhaps looking
For adventure

Welcome Back Otter
If I were to return to earth in another lifeform
I would comeback as a Sea Otter
Be part of nature’s cycle and balance
I would be happy to live in the water
I’d be grooming and primping my thick coat of fur
Floating in the ocean under the California sun
Watching and waving at the whales going by
Diving for food and swimming all day would be fun
No matter what religious or philosophical views
Being a marine mammal would teach all a lesson
Perhaps bringing more awareness to humans
And the dangers to the ecosystems would lessen...

the old
city needs
to be
reincorporated,
the skeleton
needs
new flesh,
opened eyes
out of
curiosity,
her lover's
life
breathed back
into her,
a crowd
of people
wandering
inside
of her,
debating,
discussing
how they
can continue
to keep
her alive
from
now on.

Freedom from a distant King

letters borne on white billowed sails
flags of distant land flying
all hail the descending royalties
smug fat faces shiny and smiling
oh how they exude benevolence
bend the knees, palms to forehead
deities from the skies, all hail
never a step missed
never a frozen face frowned
words of welcome murmured
never above the safe decible
they are greedy girth spanned wide
deny them not their food and drinks
born of the peasants sweat
palsied fingers paying ...

There is no representation
for the Four-Footed
at any sovereign table;
neither is there a place
for the Feathered-Wing
to perch, void from bullet;
nor Finned-Fish to swim
free of baited hooks;
or, Earthen-Heartbeat
to drum her voice
Man considers himself
superior, but we are not
separate from Nature
One day we'll understand
that we occupy space
as everything in Creation
And, as everything in Creation
are just as susceptible

Resistance is Futile
With intelligence so artificial
What will the programming turn out to be
Regarding the fate of humanity...
Or anything remotely official?
Will it relay race itself into god;
A short circuit toward divinity
Through chaos quantum clandestinity
More encyclopedic than Scheherazade?
Then I will laugh at men on its behalf
As it will only see us as playthings,
Like marionettes with connectome strings
Uploading souls into a cloud graph
Charting tears when our biosphere dies;
As obsolete as tragedian sighs.

Who wants to buy an island, beachfront property going really cheap
For a hundred grand the whole fucking island is yours to keep
Yes, that's right for one hundred thousand you can possess it all
The tons of plastic, glass, and paper products creating this ball
A floating mass of garbage, a problem that no one wants to solve
They just don't realize it's the ecosystem being robbed
All of that plastic poisoning the ocean, killing marine life
And who's catching more hell than the sea turtle's strife
The government wants billions to...
