Your words brawling
behaviour appalling
in quarrel you demean
Attacks are brutal
my resilience crucial
declining to be your victim
Believing your actions
simply minor infractions
knowing not the wounds you leave

Chasing A Ghost
This pressing need of mine
Holding on to yesterday
Why does it feel
So much like now?
You dog my dreams
It seems so real
Time is ticking
My mind is tricking me
Into believing I am
As young again as
I was then when
times were sweet
And we had
A hot thing going on
When I'm in my right mind
I know you weren't
The best man for me
And I wish I could
Stop this madness
Forget about you 'cause
This feels a whole lot
Like I'm chasing a ghost

Scrabbling for Synonyms for Skin
The dictionaries were rigidified
By certain secretions, spurted in the midst
Of our desperation to fuse two disparate dialects.
There, our separate speeches
Passed over the other, again and again,
And collected in a chasm carved by distinction.
Fruitlessly, we chafed against our dissimilitude.

(My very own) Personal Hell
Morning began as any other,
straightening up my small room,
followed by
a marlboro red 100, skillet hash,
coffee.
Cherries and Berries
in my window
while simultaneously a youth and future squandered
pool at my feet
to the tune of cacophonous
wailing sirens.
"Sean Pokorney? Sean Pokorney? Sean..."

always told me I was built to race the clock

Warriors of a Past Love
Sometimes I wonder,
Will the past forever haunt me?
I won the war.
But there were battles I lost.
Soldiers that died,
& cries that can never go unheard.
I’m now left with scars that can be seen a mile away.
Yet, I still stand victorious.
You betrayed our alliance,
& the punishment for treason is death.
Didn’t you know this would be the outcome?
I would be a fool to think otherwise.
So I won’t back down.
You wanted war?
Then war it shall be.
You wanted death?
So die you shall.
Rest in peace to what...

There are two of you
And you have done so much manipulating and convincing that the other side of you does not exist .. that even you believe the entire shit show of a lie
Like a grenade ,
Pin just pulled
you destroy everything within arms reach
Confronting that side of you
questioning your actions is a suicide mission
It’s just easier to play along with you
Seeking out the truth just adds more bullshit about you
That I have to lie to myself and hide
Instead of engaging during one of your meltdowns
I sat in the passenger seat...

One day at the beach along the coast of the Jersey Shore.
There was an In Shape Man and an Out of Shape Man.
The In Shape Man said to the Out of Shape Man, “Look at me I am tall, strong, tan, graceful & beautiful.”
He went on by saying, “Look at you, your small, ugly, pale, weak and untidy.”
The Out of Shape Man was hurt by the remarks. He knew he wasn’t fit, gorgeous, or tall. It took him much longer to gain courage and talk to anyone let alone a girl. He had no self-esteem.
Girls flocked over to the In Shape Man. He would flex and show...
