Tayassuidae Family, Visits
it’s 3am
the Squadron’s musty scent persists
7 adults, 2 of which Parents of
two cute foot-long “Reds”
no idea why
Javelinas congregate
just outside my front door
Perhaps it’s an Empath gig
natural attraction
Flora, Fauna…..Fae?
Whatever their reasons
a wee bit annoying
when I am ready to
start my day or
awaiting a
grocery delivery

The Injustices of being a lizard(collab w/ Vision_of_insanity)
They're cold blooded,
In need of heavy thick air
Something in their conscious now
To summon them, I would not dare!
Serpents tongues and leathery skin
Reflections of fearful eyes
Don't come to close,
Possession begins,
When they hypnotize!
Camouflaged in the night.
Absorbing sunlight.
The heat of a solar flare.
Dodging the cows,
Their blood boiling now.
Chasing the innocent hare.
The eyes of insight.
Intelligence and know how,
The bonding begins.
Emotions planted and plowed.
Inside...
In need of heavy thick air
Something in their conscious now

brother wolf
the river giggled
as it wound its way downstream
its belly tickled
by pebbles, while it was on its way
the sun smiled at the delightful scene
letting out a sigh
the Earth was singing to the human race
some were in tune with her music some were not
mother Moon chatted to the sun
they had lots to talk about they were in love
brother wolf howls his hello
his pack members join in
soon it's a melodic chorus
their Native family dance to
howling back at the wolves
for they are sacred clan...
as it wound its way downstream

Conjugating
Just past the Bank of America
and the ski shop (odd in Phoenix)
there's a place that kills pets
and charges you thousands of dollars to do it.
They won't kill your pet right away.
First they'll do what they can
Exams
X-rays
Even clipping your cat's nails
because she hates having that done
but now that's she's half dead
she can tolerate it.
You drove her there
in rush hour traffic
crying the whole way
Why did you stay after school to grade papers?
Why did you stop at Safeway after that? ...

donkeys do not do flash
when a donkey dies, does its’ life pass before its eyes or do its’ eyes die at the same time as the donkey, I admit, looks surprised ..

SCHOOLED BY A SPARROW
BIRDS
I have a
bird feeder
on my balcony
that I continually
keep filled
with seed.
Today as I
watched my friend
come for the
seed he knows
will be there,
I thought how
simple life would be
if we humans would
trust each other and
share the blessings
we have.
Today I was once
again schooled by
a sparrow.
What lesson will
you let nature teach you
TODAY?
I have a

The Adventures of Hoppity Hop (The Final Adventure)
3:00 am I wake to you passed out
in the corner where you slept
changing your food and water
I noticed there was no movement
your chest wasn’t moving
some see their animals as pets
to me you were my son
can’t have kids of my own
so when I held you for the first time
it made me smile
and everyday after
I was always happy to see you

no one else could hold you

Lush, bushy suburbs; tumulus.
Up, up, up... bunny jumps; susumus.
"Hurry up!" blurts Fluffy Bunny.
"Try my fun pud hunt!"
Bunny's chums shrug numbly.
