Majesty
it's your majesty
exuding in prominence
a story you tell
wizened thru patience
powerful and purposeful
your time is at hand
the legend of you
stalks the memory of man
etched in his passage
this ode is for you
sowed in a cheapened reserve
while the {wild} roam free
i apologize
for the zoos and circuses
and the mockery
as i write this rite
i know words won't make this right
but they're all i have
it's your majesty
that humbles this poet's soul
knowing you're owed more
than a poem

Bravo, Naajir! This tribute is awesome. We humans can be such cruel beasts, subjugating and humiliating the most noble of creatures. This passage is such a wonerfully poignant use of homophones,
