Well damn! I didn't know you are a cat person Ted. I like you even more now. :p Abuse of animals is something that boils my blood. Oh boy, you don't want to see that. I can't now sadly because of taking care of my Mom, but I have volunteered at a no kill non-profit working with lots of abused animals before. I loved getting them to trust again. It's a real challenge sometimes but animals love me so they would give me the hardest cases. I loved making them purr and smile again. :) Of course leaving them was really hard but I know they were very good at qualifying the new homes.

You must have forgotten last year's poems about Hennessey, my neighborhood's Maine Coon...I'll re-publish them.  I had a Himalayan, "Lassie", for 15 years; I'll never forget her love, without condition.
Though I grew up with dogs, I love cats and cat people!

Oh my God! I am so sorry. Of course I remember Hennessey now. I just have a lot on my mind. That was such a wonderful and beautiful one. Lassie lol what a great name for a cat. Himalayan have many ragdoll qualities I know. They are absolutely beautiful and incredible. Dogs are awesome too. I have worked with dogs as well. Thanks for spreading the love. :) Glad you shared your thoughts and told me about some of your furry friends.

Ah, another cat person! Damn right! ;) Well I love all animals but cats are awesome. Ragdolls have many doglike qualities and they get huge. Fox is 23lbs. I am so sorry to hear your hairy best friend passed away. That's so incredibly painful and heartbreaking. Big bear hug!!! Yeah I can crush your bones damnit. But I know he will always be in your heart and that you gave him so many wonderful years. Much love and light back at cha...

I'll let you enjoy the kitties because they make me sneeze, but I sure love my dogs! One of ours was deaf from birth and was abandoned before we adopted her at 3 months old... it took several years for her to trust people, but now she's a sweet snuggler.

It's so funny you say that because I wrote another by the same name that is, shall we say, more what you were expecting. lol I will post that at some point too. This one actually relates to a lover as well, everything has multiple meanings for me. But I thought adding certain themes might confuse things and seem weird. lol Not like I have not had contrasting themes and meanings in the past though. :p I am so happy you could give her a great home and the love she deserves and needed to trust again. That's such an incredible gift.

Well hey Ham Bone, it's great to see you. Oh yeah! I love someone who will pop me on my butt. Even whips and chains too. ;) Keeps things thrilling and exciting right? Variety is the spice of life. I actually wrote a piece about one time someone jumping out in the city and well, a lot more than just popping on the butt... but yes someone I knew. lol Still debating on posting that one. Anyway... My Mom's cats speak all the time. lol They are very spoiled and very demanding. Always following me around everywhere, wanting attention, wanting to play games, and wanting temptations treats (I call those cat crack, they go crazy over them). I buy their food and stuff so I get the mostly meat so they stay healthy but man is it expensive. Total empathy... I always know what they want just with a look. I can tell you know exactly how that is. ;)

Ha, they are like children aren't they? They need your love, protection, and caring. They want to play and be involved in everything you are doing. :) Two cats and a dog, so let me guess the cats are the one's ruling the place and the dog is their minion. lol I am sure they love each other so long as the dog does what he/she is told. :p I remember when I was really little before moving out of America, my friend had this amazing collie and the cat had kittens and she would leave them with him. He would lick them and guard them, took that job very seriously and she trusted him completely. It was so cute. Poems about animals are great. ;)

Absolutely, mischievous fun animals, like me. lol Cats are definitely one of my spirit animals. Easily gliding through the darkness, on the hunt for something no one else sees. Passionate and mysterious... Aw, kittens are always so adorable. Fox is a 23lb kitten. :p Sadly the trauma he went through has a kitten still has him very distrustful of other people so he will run and hide. But he absolutely adores me and my Mom. Glad you like the pic too. :)

I was never a cat person but lately I started watching cat videos on Instagram and I have become a fan 😊

He is something else... ;) I love the hearts in the eyes, not sure why I never use that emoji. :p Oh yeah! be careful with those cat videos; they will have you going out and getting a cat in no time. lol I know for my Mom she can't really take care of dogs now but cats are much easier in some regards although ragdolls are far more doglike than other cat breeds. They want to be involved in anything you are doing. When I lived in the UK growing up, there were two Siamese cats next door at one of the places we lived. They adopted me and were very opinionated with strong personalities. I really loved having them around. They would come in the house like they owned the place. lol

Hey lovely girl. :) 3 cats, oh wow and all white. It's for sure you won't feel lonely. There will always be one around to look after you. ;) My Mom's other cat looks like marble, black, white, and tan swirled together and with the dark markings of ragdoll on the feet, face, and tail. So she is also beautiful and huge. The vet said they think she has a little Maine coon in her as well. Sometimes they bring a bird into my Mom's house and then I have to go and get it out which is always fun. Somehow they never seem to hurt them, but catch them and then they get away and fly all over. It's quite a chore catching them but I suppose it's my own fault for still not buying some kind of proper net. :p

So if you see the Ragdoll as a Christian symbol, you’re looking for protection from something evil."  He may be seeing the darkness, vampires and other creatures of the night that embrace you.

Purity and innocence, or dirty and mischievous. lol Take your pick. (not dirty in the sense of not being clean, they are always meticulous groomers. ;) ) But yes cats can see things we don't and perhaps somehow they do scare those things away. A predator ready to pounce on those evil spirits. Yeah, he sees the darkness, vampire, and a creature of the night often; like every time I go over there. lol I love to be embraced by those things too. But you know that. ;)

Ah, another black cat... perfect for Halloween. Cats want to contribute and bring you things. When I take them away, catch the birds and let them go outside etc; they look so sad and that breaks my heart. But I have to save anything I can, even lizards. Even spiders. :p Although flies don't get a pass. Sorry flies...

That sounds proper pornographic if you ask me. But I guess that's always just where my mind goes. No I never watched it, but to be fair I didn't exist in the 80s. I watch some shows and stuff set in the 80s and looks like a really fun time though and no social media and smartphones, yay. lol :p And I do love 80s music, it had so much variety, whereas often things today are so similar. Aw, purrfect! I love that!

Cat claws, are so incredibly sharp; the number of times I have looked down and thought wow, why am I bleeding... That's what happens sometimes when you play with cats or witches. lol But you always come back for more because it feels so good too. Leaps and pounces, I see what you did there; that's so adorable. I love that you were pulled in by and understood the multi-layered imagery. The eyes are the window to the soul.

Oh yes! exactly and makes us humans relax and calm too. Although they can purr when stressed or upset as well to try and sooth themselves. I suppose we can purr for multiple reasons too, like being stroked. lol They are incredible hunters. The number of times my Mom's cats have brought birds and other things in the house and made me have to get them out... ugh! But they are just trying to contribute which is so sweet.
