Today is the day, let us cheer
Our lives are so much better, that he's not here
Oh father, you never were dependent
Do not forsake us, you were always ascendant

Reopening wounds in the gunfire of excusable provocation
My words brim with venom when the heart is bleeding
But hurt never got me off for murder at the mouth
When notorious legends wear their filthy rags so boastfully
Weighing hopes on the idea of all that you did right
To sate the accusations of all the allegations that swell beneath the surface
We are the redeemed until we need an excuse to justify bad behavior
When there’s no such thing as heroes just lesser villains in need of an out of world Savior

The Sixth Son From The Only Son Of Six
I wonder if his life flashed
before his eyes before he died
My life crashed before my eyes then I sighed
In a mad dash to the ash
Running from the worst hurt
From the last bash smashing
Head on into the first crash Thrashing from the vastness of the amassed past
Outlasting the lashing out cashed out
From the casting out hashing it out as a castaway
Passed away giving in from the passing out
With no doubt about the what
I'm the who when there's nowhere left but right there
With the know how but not the why now

Father's Day 2021
Today is Father's Day. But because I have no father or children, I can't celebrate this day. Dad was born on October 18, 1947 and died on July 13, 2013 at the age of sixty-five. When I saw Dad in his casket, it brought tears to my eyes and made me feel sad. But it didn't make me feel any worse than I was already feeling. Mom died just four months earlier and I was already feeling terrible.

Dad, I wish you loved me like your job
Dad you will always be an example for me
You showed me how to work very hard for what you want
To never give up or accept anything as impossible
Your strength and intelligence always amazed me
How everyone respected and counted on you at work
You provided so many of the things a person needs
A house, food, security, and I will be forever grateful
Also the opportunity to live in another country,
which at first was very difficult and I was bullied and
picked on a lot for being American but
it offered me the opportunity to experience ...
