Unsinkable Ship

You were ill, but it never showed
You believed you were an unsinkable ship, invincible
Then things turned for the worse.

When you decided to listen, it was too late
You ended up in the hospital for months
Because of this you missed the birth of your last grandchild
This tore you apart, and you were never the same.
You seemed to get better, but it was just a trick

On the eve of your passing, you got very ill.
The white angels gave you a shot
This took the pain away, and slowly took you too.
When you finally passes, the family was at ease
Now all you have to do is rest in peace.
