Sugar Lips

I'm not sure why sugar should get so much attention.
It's just a taste, and yet if you think about how much corn syrup is in really just about everything, it is totally amazing.  And this has gotten to be such a problem that diabetes has become a national shame in the United States.

I think about it all the time
the way you make me feel
you tease and taunt
and push me back
and act like it's no deal.

All I want to do
is have you
each and every day
my little sugar pop
my babe
in each and every way.

That thing you  do
like curl your lip
and touch it with your tongue
it makes me like your oh so sweet
and want to have some fun.

So, if you're finished teasing me
and ready for my treat
then let's go out
and have a bite
and get us some to eat.
