BREATHE

In darkest night
you stain me pure
of innocence.
A revelry of songs sung,
of midnight kisses
and hope eternal.
Lips that speak not of
lust,
but of intention.
Harmonies entwined
replacing sorrow
on a moon's eve breath.
as simple as the
brush of my cheek
that guides your hand,
its silk
delicate and deliberate.
Needing
the embrace of its
mirrored soul.
In darkest night,
sadness removes its weight
of yesterday,
and moves on flighted
wing.
Breathing life into the present
