Lulling Meadows of Tranquility

Fresh grass
Bright tulips
Shadowy oaks
Beaming sun

Back to back in the middle of it all.
Spines aligned.
His head resting on her fragile shoulders.
Her eyes meet his to a knowing smile.

She knows she could rest in this position 'till old age.
No words could explain the feeling she felt at this moment.
The surroundings didn't matter much to her,
it was just more calming.
What mattered most was their connection to eachother.
She just wanted to be in the comfort of his presence.

The glimmering Eiffel Tower couldn't compare to this serene feeling.
Nor' the famous leaning tower of Pisa.
The landmark in Paris could't outshine her love for him.
She would climb one hundred collapsing Towers of Pisa if her love was at the top.

Being in love with many,
but not recieving any was always painful.
This time she recieved before she could send.
His love for her just as strong.

Savouring any and every moment near him,
remembering it at any given time.
Going through each experience over and over again,
hitting replay in her mind.

His glistening eyes look far past hers,
deep into her mind.
Sensing she was thinking of all the
equally beautiful moments they have had together,
like this.

The crisp grass beneath their grasp.
All the wishes and seeds of dandelions drifting in the calm breeze.
Birds singing festive songs, carrying into the night.
Colors painted in smooth strokes across the dimming sky.

Not a word has been spoken.
Knowing eachother well enough to reach into thoughts.
Descending to the ground where they lay.
Those glistening eyes ease at rest, only to see the same sights in a makeshift mindset.
The stars guide their peaceful souls to a rich, beautiful slumber.
