Jewish Singles 60 & Over:
Hey members, we have 547 women signed up for our Zoom chat
and 8 men!
That's the most men we've ever had.
Get your sexy on ladies
for the big eight
One might even be interesting!
You have slightly better than lottery-like odds
but you know that queen of cleavage from Brazil is going to be on
and no doubt some other super slim hotties
competing for the bloated and bald
the short and the shy
the nerdy and not that nice
15 minutes in, a decent-looking male doctor will sign on
and the virtual waters will thrash as the salmon swim to feed
And you, no doubt, will hang up
Depressed
Demoralized
Deeply in doubt
Deciding
Sadly
What to do next.

The trials and tribulations as we get older and try to date. It's a rocky road out there. Just keep plugging away and eventually you'll meet someone when you least expect it. Fuck Zoom! Great piece of writing. Honest, real, sad but also funny.

Thank you. It sucks too much to deal with. That's why I pretty much don't even try.

Dear PD,
This piece held quite a few feelings for me. My mind envisioned a zombie battlefield. My heart felt heavy with hope and anxious anticipation. You have an amazing ability to bring the reader along to experience the situation. I have an acquaintance who met her fiancé in her church because she said hello to him every week thinking he was someone she worked on a project with at work. He finally took the initiative to introduce himself and that’s when she realized he wasn’t who she thought he was. Terrific write. H🌷

Thank you, H. I feel like I live in sci fi world where all the men in my age group were killed in some intergalactic battle. I love to think I could meet someone right here in my little world.

Agree with both comments above
I meet people on the bus all the time.
If you're open to cold calling you can meet like minded people.
Cities are good for that...
Humorous write PD
But reality does bite

Thanks. I need to change my energy vibrations to a higher frequency or something like that. I barely notice people around me.

Well Damn this is funny, not funny, and down right eye opening on the dating scene. This is a good poem.
