Changes
I shuttered my eyes and plugged my ears.
Even in touch did I not venture to feel.
I froze my heart and barricaded my fears.
Just so that there would be no more tears.
I took a chance and let you near.
You gave me life and made it clear.
Now I wonder where do we go from here.
Just give me direction which way to steer.
Even in touch did I not venture to feel.
I froze my heart and barricaded my fears.
Just so that there would be no more tears.
I took a chance and let you near.
You gave me life and made it clear.
Now I wonder where do we go from here.
Just give me direction which way to steer.

The First Autumn
Down the hill, and across the field we wandered
Along the paths we walked and talked
laughing and playing, as children do
all day, till the sun ripened
Upon Silverbell lake,
where we swam, and made love in the waters
We ate peaches, from the tree,
with wild strawberries and sweet cream
Laying, on a blanket, drinking the last of the summers wine,
In, our first autum
Along the paths we walked and talked
laughing and playing, as children do
all day, till the sun ripened
Upon Silverbell lake,
where we swam, and made love in the waters
We ate peaches, from the tree,
with wild strawberries and sweet cream
Laying, on a blanket, drinking the last of the summers wine,

One Nervous Teenager
He would go to those dances
He could never get the nerve to ask a girl to dance
Like he would really know what to do when he got out on the floor
He had tried dancing alone in his room and had gotten so embarrassed that he just had to stop
He watched men & woman dancing on TV & movies
They made it look so easy
Women were so mysterious and full of shit
He wouldn't have a clue what to say to one if he ever got the chance
The dances went by and he went to almost all of them
He would find the darkest part of the gym and watch them with his back...

I see you often
You are
the sun on my bed
on a calm afternoon
the orange in the leaves
during the change to autumn
the smell of clothes
after they have just been washed
the large chunk of chocolate
in my ice cream
the quiet whirring
of the fan overhead
the sun on my bed
on a calm afternoon
the orange in the leaves
during the change to autumn

I Don't Smoke
My mind is always thinking of you,
and it's like you are
smoke.
You stick in my mind,
like the smell lingers in clothes,
and like how it clings to the walls of this house.
And I find myself,
doing laundry slowly,
so I can inhale each thought once more.
There is a fear,
that after each wash,
you will not be there.
But I hope my mind holds onto you
like the walls here changed color.
The nicotine mixed into the paint.
You mixed into my soul.
I don't smoke,
but I find myself, ...
and it's like you are
smoke.

Sordid and Sacred
In my waking dreams I see a lady walking with me in the wind
and I with her. We are the same in essence, different in function.
I'm on this road to find out whether she walks among us, or elsewhere
and what makes her the same as me. Sordid and sacred.
The wind may twist her stiff straight swarthy hair
but love spins all things round right.
Is there a lady going this way, brave enough to do her heart’s bidding
not gazing into the social mirror nor counting its reflection dearer, unwitting?
Point us in the direction of where the...

Ask Me
I want you to ask.
What's my favorite color?
What's my favorite food?
Who is my favorite artist?
I want you to ask me why.
Why do I love this painting?
Why do I listen to this song?
Why are you my favorite color?
Please, examine me.
Learn me.
Feel me.
Ask me.
I want my being to be
completely mapped out and
rewritten over
and over
As you memorize the answers,
only to ask me again,
just in case they have
changed.
All of this because
I simply...

Killer Déjà Vu p2.
she looks into my eyes
and draws in gracefully
I order us another drink
the bar sounds begin to drown out
smirking at her flirtatious ways
as I run my fingers down her shoulder
she bites down on her lip
seemingly eager to get out of here
she even pays for the night
I ask "my place or yours?"
-"my roommate is gone"
her place it is
as we walk in
she complements my cologne
even though it's a cheap off brand
she slams the door
-"now I got you!"
her whole demeanor changes ...

Killer Déjà Vu
looking into her eyes I draw in gracefully
dropping a potion in the wine she drinks
the voices in the background start to drown
red lips smirk from some word play
feeling her digits rub up against my forearm
I cringefully bite down on my tongue
unholy urges arise from the depths of me
it's essential to get her to fall into my web
with sweet words -“let’s get out of here”
I take her back to my apartment
opening the door for such a sexy temptress
taking in the sweet smell of perfume
as she walk in
I close the door then all...

What Lonely, Hopeless Alphas Don't Understand
Imagine this: you're living alone, you begin to think of companionship and simply not being alone. Your goal is to be honest about who you are and to be accepted for the shortcomings you are working towards fixing. So, alone you stay, making a space you can love so you may have one to learn how to love yourself, and you learn. Little by little, you learn how to make yourself feel secure and safe. You do so by being financially responsible enough to live a life that gives you freedom to do what you want. Your bills aren't just manageable, they're almost nonexistent with no credit card balances...

Gamble at Your Own
We watch and listen more than speak
Only pretend
When we seek truth
Through blatant deceit
Don't fault me
For playing
The way you wanted to play me
Please
Understand
It's you
Definitely
Not me
And let's face it
You were beat
Haha
I know who I am
Naw
I really don't
But I don't pretend
Boast
About
Doing the most...
Humble intellectual
Effectual
Non masculine
Who's masculine
Comes out when
It's needed...
