Remember, Remember

Bonfire Night is an ironic thing
at 400 years after the event
where a Gunpowder Plot had killed no king
and sabotage became Guido's lament
as the people had made it very clear
that a disruption to the status quo
based on violence and subsequent fear
wasn't the most discerning way to go
to carry heretofore the common law;
be the ancient regimes hip, hip, hooray,
or establishments of indolent blah
countermanding even a sunny day...
since rare indeed is the revolution
that fairly treats the wealth distribution!
