Killer Goals
Twinkle asked me
to write down goals
the first 1 was clear
build more muscles
gain strength back
years ago i learned
that being physically
stronger made me
mentally stronger
more resilient too
improved stamina
is goal number two
(never ending sex)
as well as a boost
in mood of course
i showed the list to
my guy & said i'd lie
if i said i don't want a
killerbody he thought it
was a reachable goal
“it's way too shallow”
yet here we go: i want
to start off my 50th year
in the best shape of my life
to write down goals

I hate to give advice but ...
Listen to your body and don't try to overdo your workouts. Slow and steady will get you there. Often people including myself are anxious to do more to achieve goals faster. It's a great way to injure yourself...

Trust me, I don't overdo my workouts. I work with a personal trainer with a background in the medical field. She keeps an eye on me. I appreciate your concern, thanks for dropping by :-)

True words Duende, the only thing is, I'm 45 now and still lift as if I'm in my 20's and for the first time in my life have popped a muscle or two lol 🙃❤️

That's impressive. Injuries happen, I'm building it up slowly. Thanks for your comment & RL :-)

Fit and healthy is not selfish. Self-care makes you available for others!

The dream is only big from the first step. Once you get moving, it gets more attainable. You go get that killer body, sis! 💖

Look at you going for it!
Goals are needed. It always feels awesome when you check
the first one off. Then on to the next. Great way to give
yourself ambition and drive.

An empowering write, Duende.
Sometimes we return to things that we've written, to give us a reset or to continue our motivation. Like a mantra. This is a very good one to go by.
When you look in the mirror, don't concentrate on your body image. Look yourself deep in your eyes and tell yourself that you got this. This is your life, to be satisfied with. Every step is forward. Kick some ass.
A very motivating write. Well done.

Honored you think this is an empowering write, Styxian.
This piece was partially written as a reminder for myself, though the changes I notice are the biggest reminders. My main goal is to get my strength back and feel better in my skin, getting a better body would be a nice result ;-) Thanks heaps for your comment, I appreciate you :-)
