Pity Her
A day of silence,
I wonder if she will ever know the peace of it.
She lives in a swirl of faces,
Will she ever close her eyes?
I love the ache of darkness,
She will never truly feel it.

Your author's note really helped. She lives in a swirl of faces makes more sense now. It's her own faces to me. I like the distance between lines as it represents the distance between the two.
