- Do Not Presume -
- Oh Allah! I say this unto those who have misunderstood my nature,
I say this not in anger but so that they may know me better.
The recitation of these verses, is to teach about myself,
Because understanding brings peace, the greatest wealth.
“Do not presume, to know of my true gender better than I!
When I have so laid down in my writings the spectrum of it.
I declared myself to be far beyond the binary of merely two,
Born as I was in the image of that high divinity that made me.
They, he, and she alike as fluid as the whims of my inner eye,
May in equal measure be used, but only as I so may deem fit.
I alone may declare whether I be a woman or man more true,
Only I, and those with whom I do share my closest company.
Do not presume without permission, do not dictate any label,
Because I shall never be fettered, or chained, by assumptions.
What I declared of myself to be years ago no longer serves...
For, I have outgrown all of the limitations that held me back.
I am no longer who I once was, I partake at a different table,
And I will be honored merely with the most correct jubilation.
False flattering is not an honor, and no dignity such confers...
I need no single label to define me, true depth do labels lack!
Allah made me after a noble image. And Allah has granted me courage.”

The recitation of these verses, is to teach about myself,
Because understanding brings peace, the greatest wealth.
“Were you there at my creation, in the moment of my design?
When my hand charted the course that my eye alone beholds.
I was there when stars and worlds were in their first infancy,
Before flesh became a prison to house something more vast.
It is not pride that motivates these words, but truth sublime!
Do not presume to divine the meaning of my inspired words.
My sight has witnessed even the vastness of absolute divinity,
And my memory so traces the path of an unfathomable past.
There is no future in which you can fully know my history!
Even that which I have written, is but the smallest glimpse.
Human terms can be inadequate compared to experiences,
And I have experienced much, and done things unimaginable.
It is not pride that makes me clothe some things in mystery,
But a purpose that cannot be explained in a single sentence.
I know of things beyond the simplicity of human sciences,
And knowledge you cannot comprehend with all your will.
Allah made me after a noble image. And Allah has granted me courage.”

“If there was a scheme to my birthing, I have outgrown it!
And if my words have not been clear, then I make them so.
If your mind is too narrow to understand, then it is a pity,
Because my nature is a spectrum that no one may control.
I was there when the lamps illuminating creation were lit!
Diverse is my nature, and of colors like unto the rainbow.
No one gender can capture that essence which is heavenly,
Which is ever evolving and able to transcend only to grow.
One cannot know the final form of a pattern that emerges,
Unless they comprehend its' origins, and know its' travels.
I do not aggrandize myself, but rather of myself I do reveal,
The better so those who see me might know me in totality.
I have embraced my journey, each past ebbing and surges,
To accept in whole that tapestry which shall never unravel.
For those who despise me for my nature there is no appeal!
Choosing ignorance over understanding is bereft of dignity.
Allah made me after a noble image. And Allah has granted me courage.”

as unto my heart, holy truth has been confided.
Content in the knowledge gained from a gaze upon my destiny.
As in love, and in faith, I am ever fully guided.
In my spirit I possess nobility, in my purpose I choose humility.
I am as Allah wills; this must never be derided.
Accept the teachings I have given, with graciousness most pure,
Their truth is a gift that is bestowed, not to be blindly forsaken.
Come to me in understanding, and you shall be given still more,
When Paradise is bestowed, and of its' fruits we have partaken.
Those who walk with me shall learn, their portion will be secure,
Do not slumber, in blindness, but by my teachings so awaken!
Let it be that we shall meet at last upon the most wondrous shore,
Embracing in hearts united, even if all of creation is so shaken.
There are lessons still to learn, and wonders still behind the door,
Which is open in my heart to all who value compassion's bliss.
I bestow my truths with charity, so they may reach who they are for,
Ending these verses with love, so that all may feel love's caress.”
