when old school isn't bad...
there came a day when we had to tell her
explain to my old fashioned & very sheltered mother
her beloved granddaughter was dating a woman
we all knew it had to happen...eventually
that chore my girl shamelessly left to me
afraid to see the disappointment...
...or worse...
...disapproval on her grandma's face
I couldn't fault her for her concern
I'd felt the sharp edge of my mother's tongue myself a time or 2
...she can be short tempered & sometimes intolerant
shutting down what she doesn't fully understand...
it's not...

Inside A Hut With David And Whitney
Abigail
woke up and found herself
naked inside a hut with David
and Whitney still sleeping besides her before she
quickly got herself dressed and removed
herself from there before
they woke up.

A Dog
He talked about sin and regret,
renouncing same-sex lust like this,
eternities in hell… but it didn’t stop him
taking off my clothes
and when the sin was done,
curling himself in my arms for comfort.
He trembled like a dog in the woods
waiting for its owner’s car to return.

When You Swallow
It feels so very good when you swallow,
Over and over, on both of my balls;
All the love and teasing I get down low,
That makes my thing build as thick as a wall.
Over and over, on both of my balls;
All the love and teasing I get down low,
That makes my thing build as thick as a wall.

I Can't Tell You
I can't tell you just how much I really
Enjoy how you always eat me alive;
It's like, you devour me, piece by piece;
And now, I can't wait for you to arrive.

Sunspot
As I sit here enjoying the sun spot
feeling the warmth on my face
I consider the jaguar,
eight years spent quietly
growing and molting
in and out of this fur,
teeth smiling and snarling
as claws sharpen themselves
for another round of walls
containing everything
I am simply made of
and I laugh;
knowing I defeated
a system designed
to fail my purpose
so I will laugh
as I watch my siblings
come into their own
as they go hunting
believing their best ...

I closed my eyes tonight
To brush your hair
then carry you
up the stairs
echoing Poe
in your tiny
lobed ears
as eyes fall
down slow.
I lay you down
in a single box
bedded in snow
moulding into
all your form
brushing strands
away with my fingers;
kissing your forehead
in my quiet Aquarian way
knowing we met.

What Is Your Name?
No, I think you misunderstood. I mean the name on your birth certificate.
The name your parents handpicked themselves
When they sat down with that giant book of names imagining what their future child would be like.
So I ask you again, what is your name?
Oh.
It's so similar though.
What's the point in changing your name if you're going to pick one identical?
At that point just stick with your real name
Instead of making up one
I mean I don't like my name but I never tried changing it
Because my mother gave me that name

Hypocrites
You say that what LGBTQ people do with their lives is not anybody’s business.
I say you are dishonest persons, and it is clear that you are hypocrites.
We all have the right to express our views publicly about any subject matter.
The matter concerning the activities of LGBTQ people is no exception.
Please let me refresh your minds about some things that you normally do.
You speak against thieves even when they do not steal your possessions.
You speak against rapists even when they do not sexually assault you.
You speak against kidnappers when they do...

Audacity of a seed
She said seedy
believing my sheets
belong behind closed
doors in hotel rooms
on half gnawed streets
marrying occupied beds
lights dimmed in red,
I sit back a moment
allowing white hot
rage to pass over
I think of seeds;
how each root
burrows further
underground
hoping to keep
plants anchored
in all of it's ways,
how every shoot
desires reaching
for a burning star
in broad daylight
regardless what...

Waiting room
To the woman
who sat staring at me
in gynaecology today
with a silver
crucifix dangling,
I knew exactly
what you were thinking
"why on earth are you here"
maybe our gods look
a little bit different,
but we look to them
for some kind of answer
as we sit
in the same
waiting room,
hoping for
our names to
be called out.
