There's no ark coming this time

A very poignant piece, I feel the emotions.
"defeated by hate" is a moving line that resonated with me.

Along with James, the line "defeated by hate" stood out to me,  --  as well as the phrase "sacred sinners", which as an evangelical christianity survivor { :)) } resonated on several levels.

Excellent write! Who knows whether there was an ark the first time round, or if it's just one of those stories to keep us 'sinners' on our toes, counting our blessings, suppressing the fear, hate, and loss of self.

I'm certainly not a religious person Veronika, but I do love to use myth to look at our reality. Thanks a million my friend.

I didn't think you were... We're probably more or less on the same page there. I dip into mythical stories in my writing all the time. I agree, they offer great  lenses to look at our reality (And I'd recently been thinking and writing about Noah's ark, that's why your poem caught my attention. Love it!)

Yes I love myths...Greek mythology is wonderful, and so very profound.

hi Harry it's been awhile interesting perspective I personally don't believe in an arc but a space ship carrying dna the earth was flooded there is proof here of that.. there is also proof of technology that doesn't exist here today...
