Indeed it is -- possibly like a white piece of paper with nothing written on it is a great poem.

Too many people fear the silence within themselves.

I think the fear of silence comes from beiung faced with the possibility that there is 'nothing there' and one does not really exist - a kind of fear of annihilation. So much sense of self in our culture is derived from externally-oriented labelling. Strip those away, and one is faced with what's left - which can be scary - "is there anyone really there?"

I believe you correct in your supposition. The questioning and validation of one's own existence can be terrifying to the masses as most people seem to require an external stimulus to identify with.

It is quite beautiful, indeed....and more than a little addictive! I have to push myself to get out of my own head sometimes...especially when the symphony is playing great.

It is difficult to not follow the score at time and just let the quiet take you away.
