Image for the poem soul lust

soul lust

dire need quiet inside me
the pull of desire, the damnation of sin
welling within me
pushing me forward deeper still
into the dark ache of discovery

uncovering hidden thoughts I confess
I am helpless in the moonlight, dreaming
caressing my tenderness
thinking of your stoic hard demeanor

take a breath and sigh
trembling under my slip
fingering hope i reach
for the blush that escapes me

it is your ardor I seek
enveloping my honesties
gently you touch my faith
urging me on until I am filled

my doubts falling away
as I am lifted into your arms
bringing me to contentment
my soul's lusts fulfilled
