To Be Or Not To Be (Men’s Health)

This is the one of those topics I always wanted to discuss in depth, I did host a Straight Talk Live Blog, and I surveyed several men who are circumcised versus men who have never been circumcised.
 
In my gallop poll, the reasons will always give credence to the choice of the parent(s) decision.
 
Most men from all walks of life, social economical prestige, and all male participants have taken the time to convey their spiritual beliefs and their social impact on this related issue.
 
Let’s delve further as to what exactly is circumcision and I will break down some common myths and render the facts in other findings.  
 
The Appearance Of A Male Who Has Been Circumcised And The Appearance Of A Man Who Has Not Been Circumcised
 
Keep in mind an uncircumcised penis keeps back the foreskin, which covers the head of the non-erect penis and upon erection, the foreskin pulls back to let out the glans.
 
A circumcised penis does not have the foreskin present.  So, the glans are always exposed both when the penis is erect and non-erect.
 
There are several advantages parents must take into consideration when deciding to have their male child circumcised.

Circumcision
 
Circumcision is generally electively performed and must be done as a form of preventive healthcare, as a religious obligation, or as a cultural practice, I will clarify some of those reasons.
 
From researching this very driven private matter, I will tell you, for any male who is circumcised, he has a greater chance with reducing rates of sexually transmitted infections and urinary tract infections. This includes decreasing the incidence of cancer-causing forms of human papillomavirus (HPV) and significantly reducing HIV transmission among heterosexual men within high- risk populations. Human Papillomavirus (HPV)
 
Human papillomavirus infection (HPV infection) is caused by a DNA virus from the Papillomaviridae family. Many HPV infections cause no symptoms and 90% resolve spontaneously within two years. In some cases, an HPV infection persists and results in either warts or precancerous lesions. These lesions, depending on the site affected, increase the risk of cancer of the cervix, vulva, vagina, penis, anus, mouth, tonsils, or throat. Nearly all cervical cancer is due to HPV and two strains – HPV16 and HPV18 (cited 08-02-23/SKC/Wikipedia).

Religion And Circumcision  

“This is my covenant, which you shall keep, between me and you and your offspring after you: Every male among you shall be circumcised. You shall be circumcised in the flesh of your foreskins, and it shall be a sign of the covenant between me and you. He who is eight days old among you shall be circumcised. Every male throughout your generations, whether born in your house or bought with your money from any foreigner who is not of your offspring, both he who is born in your house and he who is bought with your money, shall surely be circumcised. So shall my covenant be in your flesh an everlasting covenant. Any uncircumcised male who is not circumcised in the flesh of his foreskin shall be cut off from his people; he has broken my covenant” (Genesis 17:10-14).
 
Circumcision plays a major role in many of the world’s cultures and religions, most prominently Judaism and Islam. To be frank, circumcision is among the most important commandments in Judaism. Historically, campaigns of Jewish persecution have included bans on the practice as a means of forceful assimilation, conversion.
 
Circumcision is virtually unheard of in any religion other than Judaism, Islam, and Christianity. Buddhists, Hindus, Mormons, and Jains are forbidden to circumcise because it is a violation of the body.
 
Once a male child is birthed, and before leaving to go home, a neonatal circumcision also decreases the risk of penile cancer ethnocide are higher when the procedure is performed on older people.
 
Hygiene
 
 It is important for males without a circumcision to keep their foreskin clean.
 
Parents if you have teenagers who have not been circumcised and this pertains to older adult males as well, that hygiene regimen consists of pulling back and washing underneath the foreskin with mild soap and water, rinsing well, and then rolling back the foreskin can help maintain good hygiene.
 
Good hygiene of the foreskin can help reduce the risk of infections. Without regular cleaning, bacteria, dirt, and bodily fluids can all build up under the foreskin and forms what is known as smegma, which looks yellowish-white
 
Smegma
 
Smegma is a combination of shed skin cells, skin oils, and moisture. Smegma does occur It occurs in both male and female mammalian genitalia. In females, it collects around the clitoris and in the folds of the labia minora; in males, smegma collects under the foreskin.
 
 
Poor genital hygiene can cause an infection of the glans or foreskin, such as:

phimosis, wherein the foreskin becomes too tight around the head of the penis and cannot pull back
 
balanitis, an infection of the glans and foreskin
 
posthitis, a fungal infection of the foreskin
