lost in the shadows
where loneliness bites harder
tears flow much faster
yesterdays have gone
leaving too many empty

I like the order you put these in. They combine to remind us of universal experiences we all likely feel in different ways. I get what you mean about needing the pain. Great write.

Another senryś masterpiece and outstanding poem within in a poem, Colin. Letting the pain become a sort of lighthouse, directing traffic, so to speak, is relatable and deeply felt.

After I read your poem I read just the words in bold print and my heart ached in unison with yours. So damned relatable.
You always just know. And while I applaud your poetic voice, I understand the pain and want to acknowledge how hard it may have been to be in the space to write this.
