Where Flora, Fauna And Beneficent Humans Gather - Part 2
Armada of kaleidoscopic land vessels
ephemeral flourishing flotilla
constructed, garnished with all natural material from all around the world
grain, grasses, seeds, and flowers
romantic, fantastical, peaceful, exciting mobile dioramas
with invisible conveyance
perhaps a pirate ship with jolly buccaneer crew
with rice paper sails, hemp rigging,
a cannon made black with poppy seeds, riding pampas grass waves
maybe a princess in her palace
with royal gardens of roses, carnations, and chrysanthemums
with a wooing prince astride a trusty steed
with straw mane and coat made roan with sunflower seeds
or a lush, serene garden scene
wisteria cascading from a gazebo
moss carpeted beds of tulips and gladiolus
pollinated by a big, smiling bumble bee
made yellow and black with goldenrod and peppercorns
and a majestic Monarch butterfly
with paprika and olive coated wings
each festive land barge
populated with waving volunteers,
first responders, constant care givers
and courageous survivors
unsung heroes of our communities

Dear GW,
This poem has a plethora of pretty things to imagine and tons of energy. I like the focus on spotlighting quiet hero’s and natures beauty. Very clever subject matter. We could use a lot more brightness like this. Great write.
