Perhaps technology
Is the death of mystery.
We’re so convinced
we can find certainty.
Too much information
(usually questionable)
makes us impatient--
no tolerance for
the unknowable
no faith
in anything at all
except our favourite influencers…

Faith is
by definition
trusting in a mystery

but

“I don’t know”
is no longer a valid answer
when we can find out
in an instant
everything from
random facts
to preferred opinions

So pick a side
find “facts” to support it
dig in
be sure
and especially
shun anyone
who suggests
there might be
a middle way
A mysterious peace
that surpasses understanding
