Title: something about mystery?
Perhaps technology
Is the death of mystery.
We’re so convinced
we can find certainty.
Too much information
(usually questionable)
makes us impatient--
no tolerance for
the unknowable
no faith
in anything at all
except our favourite influencers…
Faith is
by definition
trusting in a mystery
but
“I don’t know”
is no longer a valid answer
when we can find out
in an instant
everything from
random facts
to preferred opinions
So pick a side
find “facts” to support it
dig in
be sure
and especially
shun anyone
who suggests
there might be
a middle way
A mysterious peace
that surpasses understanding

Everything is available in an instant.
Humanity is flawed, technology just speeds up the process. As the world gets faster, we need to slow down. Never happen.
Polarization is a problem. We need to stop arguing about politics so much and get back to desire. Make all adults read

Yes, back to basics from time to time is important. Slow, patient, love.

This reminds me very much of how I was listening to a podcast the other day, and they were saying that perhaps we should stop beating ourselves up in our current circumstances, because, had our ancestors had access to this technology do you not think they would have used it?
That really hit home for me a little bit. I think I’m at a stage with it all where I use it to my advantage. But as with all things, it’s about finding the balance on where we distribute our focus.

That's an interesting point, very true! I'm not against the using of technology, but I think it can have unintended effects if we're not mindful about it. I'm certainly less patient than I used to be.... until I intentionally get out of my head and my house and spend time in nature for a re-set. That's the balance, I guess.

It seems quite relevant ruminating to me, with the changing technology, vis a vis the AI quandary. That all had a kind of rhyme haha.

I do like pondering these things... one can't expect tools that are so powerful to have no impact at all on us. I'm just not sure we can grasp what the impact is, yet.

Thanks to technology we are ( have) lost the ability to think for ourselves. Now there to too many lambs walking willing into the slaughter house.

it's a clever title but an even more clever write as it's so true. We have so much information at our fingertips but it's also become skewed when darker forces may put their own spin and start bending reality for those who may not be able to see it. Technology has been a blessing for the most part, but also a curse for some.
