To be pigeonholed as mostly one thing and one thing only and to possibly accept that as fact... well that just doesn't sit right with me. I think it's healthy and invigorating to think of others, women especially, as multifaceted and deeply qualified in many areas.

Searching out the good in folks and realizing that there's much more to people, especially women, is truly worth it, imo.  

It's sometimes disheartening to see the same sort of caricature-esque experiences/examples. I love me a strong beautiful, fiercely proud woman... and maybe it's just me....but I felt the need to kind of advocate...

This week I hired a crew of guys to come work on my house, yard, and porch.

I am amazed....and completely wiped out....it was a wonderfully fulfilling time....next week off to Houston for a flood of doctor's visits to see if the last 3 years of treatments and tests have brought the needed results....wish me good luck.

Out of body experiences and something similar, involving something like tantra, meditation, yoga, mindfulness, etc... are definitely awesome tools to hone and better those multiple facets and varied intricate layers that are all part of an exquisite whole.

I am glad that you felt this embodied me and hopefully and more importantly that 'sisterhood' because it was a more broad generalization and written with a hope that people, especially women aren't immediately pigeonholed and kind of branded; seen as being only one thing. A reminder that everyone is multifaceted and multi-dimensional with varying positives about them.

Maybe it was also a way to reaffirm my own strong feelings, too... I see that, sure. ;)

While coming around again for a re-read, it dawned on me that the English speaking people have a strange idea of using the word there.

While travelling, I can see the logic in We’re almost there, to signal that you haven’t reached your destination.
But to say: I’m there, to indicate you’re in front of my door seems strange to me.
Every language has its quirky sides, but this ‘there’ thing strikes me as funny.

Don’t really know why I tell you all this. Maybe just because it’s funny.

I can understand you questioning that quirkiness that 'there' gives you! I can only imagine learning to be fluent in another language. I understand bits and pieces of Spanish and French and that seems difficult! ... I think it says so much that you used the correct spelling for the meaning, considering a lot of native English speakers get that confused all the time ... I mean =There, they're and their....I see where they're used incorrectly almost daily...lol.

So, already you're ahead of the game!
