My desires remain the same

My desires remain the same

Sitting in my wheelchair, I'm broken from my point of view, things seem to change though, when I think of you

My pulse starts to quicken, my heart begins to pound, even though its just a dream, I love it when you're around

My mind runs off to younger days, when I was in my prime, when everything was working well and I could really make you mine

Moving with freedom, when making love was done with style and grace, now thats all left within my passed, now it's hands and face

But it hasn't crushed my desires, in me they still burn bright, my needs are met in my fantasies and the poetry I write

Because when I dream I'm not broken, I feel it in my soul, that's because I dream of you, the girl who makes me whole

So please come to me tonight, I pray I dream of you again, because though I might be broken, my desires remain the same
