Dreamless Night
it's been awhile since I've not dreamt
And I feel robbed because you're there
You're not here when I'm awake
But I can always count on your presence
When I go to bed and close my eyes
The blankets wrapped around me
Holding me close as the darkness comes
And there you are; arms open wide for me
Holding me closer than you ever could
You don't tell me you love me when I'm awake
But I hear it crystal clear when my eyes are closed

I like the contrast you expressed here, when the physical aligns perfectly, but those words are just as if not more reassuring than anything else.
