reverie
in the dawning hours I am silent
solemnly beholding beauty
gentle quiet embraces my soul
as first blush kisses the horizon
I find myself in sync with nature
the dew kisses the grass
and the trees change guard
in the flower beds the buds start to open
and the sun warms their faces
I walk in the garden every day amazed by it's grander
delicate epiphany everything so perfectly formed
with the mind of a true artist
the birds take to the winds
and song fills the air
I become one with my mother Earth
my creator walks with me in the mornings
we discuss matters of the universes
he always awakens me with good morning
and asks playfully if my men are in order
a military man he queries if I'm ready for the day
I ask only that I be prepared for what's ahead
in my reverie I consider much
under the shade of a mighty Eucalyptus
with the wind on my face
I walk with him
praising with my soul what he has accomplished
you won't find me in a church
I think people are busy praising each other
somehow the place feels false
I belong to the universes
the stars above me attest to this truth
in his sanctuary I am always
