I SEE YOU IN THE  I.C.U.

I see you in the I.C.U.
The silent buzzing of eternal light
shifts with opening eyes into fuzzy disguise
warm water falling like virgin silk
upon my numb and vulnerable skin
soft hands caress each part of me
my eye traces across the soft subtle features
of delicate faces of angelic creatures
I attempt to speak, a weakened endeavor
soft laughter sputters from their youthful essence
like fluttering butterflies flying forever
then muttering amongst themselves
leaving me isolated in their presence
They believe that I won't remember a thing
that I perceive nothing more than a morphine dream
Oh, but I see you, and I'll remember you
I need something pleasant, something beautiful
to take back with me as I continue my descent
away from the sterilized scents of disinfectant incense
past the failing sounds and sights, down past the light
past the dwindling decadence of incandescent innocence
down the crooked creaking steps, back into the darkened depths
of those vivid vicious violent morphine nightmares
Yeah, I see you, I see you two
I see you in the I.C.U.... ... ..
