The cone or cup has a definite sexual subtext to it, slightly ambiguous, but there. Especially if all you see is the title, without context.
Cones or cups. I imagine this is like the dog-people / cat-people dichotomy.
Some people like, I mean just relish that extra bit of anxiety of a cone on a hot day.
I like the last 2 lines, because they connect it to something broader for me...yes, this ridiculous, ever-present...well, whatever it is:  it's always something. Either the mandates, or the debates over this or that, or the worry, or the real, economic problems:  travel, visas, employment, income, all the stuff.
Just ridiculous.
As for me, I don't eat dairy.

I never knew that people would relish the anxiety of cone eating on a hot day.  It took me eons just to try cone eating after my whole adult life was dedicated to the cup.   A few years ago I went for it and by golly I was pretty good at it.   Same goes for eating cherries and the damn pits.  Avoided those for 35 years but there was a woman issue behind that.  Another story.  Well the poets here certainly had a good time commenting on this one which is most rewarding for this ranch hand.

Life shouldn't be so fucking complicated, right?!

This is pure awesomeness. I read the title and thought, ooh goody, a lighthearted poem about ice cream... then saw the art & thought well that's kind of aggressive for ice cream, maybe I misjudged the title.... then partway through reading, thought ok this IS a truth-of-life observational moment about the struggles of ice cream eating.... then you hit me with the ending and BOOM I felt all the irritation of all the little bullshit imperfect things that happen every day, and I just can't stop laughing now at the absurdity of how pissed off we can get about things like melty ice cream, and the art totally makes sense! 😆 Or, maybe this is just the best damn use of the word motherfucker that I've ever seen.

Either way, for some reason this was a perfect way to start my day.

Went for the cup last night and Mrs Poetspeak did too which is irony because she is a strictly a cone girl.  Waiting for our cups which we ordered SMALLS because the SMALL looks like a LARGE and more anxiety.  Do I really need to eat all this?
