A Painter who Paints with no Brushes

Nice painting!
Francis Bacon used practically everything EXCEPT brushes--sponges, corduroy, dust, trashbin lids...you name it.
The godfather of the beats, William Burroughs dedicated much of his creative energy, after retiring to Lawrence, Kansas, to "shotgun paintings"--like yours, on plywood:
put cans of paint in front of a piece of plywood, and shoot it with a shotgun.
Again, nice painting, and enjoyed!

It's really about allowing yourself to take chances,
A lot of people are not comfortable with that but for me it is one of the most exciting parts of making abstract art.

I used to do metal sculpture welding in my apartment, blow torch and all.  Lucky to have survived that .....

This made me think of Henry Miller's watercolors.
Your poetry also often brings him to mind.
I like the idea of seeing the beauty hidden in things discarded or ignored, and using it.

I’m kind of a texture freak so I’m always looking for new ways to express.  All these wood samples have been in my closet for years.  Left overs from sales and completed projects.  Decided to put them to work again !!

I like a nice mixed media. I used to be friends with a guy who painted abstract and added this to
it like rubber, sticks, rope, etc. He live streamed one night while he was painting. It was interesting to watch.
Felt a little voyeur to be honest...

You mix your art forms in a really unique way, with the paintings and poems. It works really well.
