Poems about a Pandemic
#pandemic
Poems about a pandemic, including coronavirus (covid-19). Poetry about an epidemic of a disease, and the effect it has on society. Poems about the best and worst of human nature, and the fragility of our species, when a pandemic emerges. Also poetry about how the science and health care community, and governments, respond to pandemics.

Sadness
A strange cocktail
Dreams of romance
With a large dose of Covid
Both remind me
Of my vulnerability
And Loneliness
It's like falling into an abyss
An empty void
Of silent space
My heart bleeds
Into the ether
There seems no hope
Just this solitude
I find unable to bare
No embraces
To fill my heart
I am no more
Than a grain of sand
On an empty beach
Washed away
In a tide of emotions
by Jemia

The 2020 Chip Down Blues
The torture tune of trauma town
Rings in my midnight ear
To say to me when chips are down
All merriment will disappear...
When introverts, not the warrior,
Will be the ones that thrive
When city streets get gorier
As intubations survive...
More so than those who shriek and shout
In a rally or ugly crowd
With an unwitting spittle spout
Ever and anon too proud...
Since salvation comes, as you will see,
Packaged in humility.

COVID PLANDEMIC CORRUPTION
Let me tell you something
and I'm going to keep saying this
so let it sink in,
since you choose not to use that brain.
COVID-19 DOESN'T EXIST OK that 1
2. if they have to
PERSUADED, REMINDED, LIED TO,
PRESSURED, INCENTIVIZED, COERCED,
BILLIED, SOCIAL ASHAMED,
GUILT TRIPPED, THREATENED, PAID,
PUNISHED AND CRIMINALIZED
If all of this is necessary to gain your complete compliance
you can be ABSOLUTELY SURTON
that what's being promoted
is NOT IN YOUR BEST INTERESTS.
Think about it.

Goodnight & God Bless
Goodnight & God Bless"
With an IQ like mine, I looked at most like they're dumb/
Like when folk clapped & got jabbed, both the cat, dad & son
Looking aghast with amazement, I let em pave me the way/
Now with this for entertainment, I gave the Netflix away
I knew they were strange, when they masked up their kids/
And took vaccine in arm, before they asked what it is
From two weeks & a curve, to a third, fourth & fifth/
To a lot have been murdered, let's distract em with this
There's a war in Ukraine, of which the...

Pandemic Pandemonium
oh twisted
fragile mind
tangled within
a fine almost
invisable Web

more intimidating
intrusive fears
while reconnecting
wiith all the long
dormant ones
breathless panic
of being among
familiar settings
that at one time
where a comfortable
sanctuary for sanity
joys of
personal freedom
cruelly taken
replaced by
self denial
of an insane situation

self worth
given daily access

Slipped by
The inner child’s ardent longing - for days that have come to pass. Hearken back to infinite summers, accompanied by contented nights. Carelessly floating on unlimited dreams, uninterrupted imagination. Flawlessly innocent, untouched by the stagnant weight this aging brings. The longing of ethereality and youthful wonder.

Update - A Solution At Last!
As my readers will know, a fire broke out on the floor above my flat on Sunday 6 March, causing vast structural damage. As a result, I had to leave my flat due to safety and I found myself homeless.
Although I wasn’t present at the time of the fire and was later able to retrieve my belongings, I felt unable to cope with the prospect of ongoing displacement, especially as London rents have risen sharply over the past few years and finding alternative accommodation proved almost impossible.
I spent nearly eight weeks in hotels, struggling with acute panic attacks. During...

Death Stock
Capitalizing on the trends of tragedy
Scapegoat delays on the world wide malady
Taking out loans for a debt on breath
Turning profits off of the sick and dying
When there’s money to be made in death
Publicity cashes out on loss
Tabloid rumors exploit the cost
One man’s funeral is another man’s treasure
The more famous the dead the more dividends to measure
We live our dreams but we never see the legacy
Lifetime achievements are but dust when all that’s left is memory
What’s left to inherit in this hand me down life ...

Easter Update
Things are still uncertain. As you may know, a fire destroyed the top floor of the building where I was living on Sunday 6 March. As a result of this, I lost my flat. Complexity arose in the days following; suffice it to say, I’m technically homeless and not covered by any insurance.
Add a short bout of COVID, and the stress levels went crazy. I made a speedy recovery though.
Wishing everyone a good and peaceful and reflective Easter.
