a sacred space exists
where sleepy, fading sun
and vibrant, awakening moon
share the same warm spring sky;
nodding sweetly, they whisper
one to another in buttery ochres
and hushed blue-gray tones;
the first of the fireflies arrive
to wink at them both, knowingly

I always enjoy seeing them two up in the sky for a brief moment (changing shifts).
