minutiae of moments
(i)
i didn't
understand
just
how
much
until
being left
to dissolve
in
silence
(ii)
O'
the
falling
am i
fucking
it
all
up?
.
.
.
.
as i'm prone
to do.
(iii)
now
it's waiting
as these
ancient
bones
already know

ahhh... your lovely deep deep insights are appreciated and damn, if I'm not pondering them as I type.... In all honesty... I actually feel like a shallow shite because I was just previously reading lepp's thread about Palestine and Israel and some people's opinions hear, on DU. about the fighting... Then I was thinking about all the injured people and the insane amount of lives lost throughout the years.... as this recent bout of fighting is just decades old fighting continued...Thinking and filling up with a profound sadness and deep sorrow... how truly shallow it is, my: "me me me" themed writing.... sheesh... it just really put things into perspective.... In a flash.... my insignificant problems aren't nearly so bad... eh?... no, not by leaps and bounds.... just my scatterbrained musings.....
I appreciate you taking the time to leave these amazing thoughts, my dear dear friend 🙏🏻
Much love and adoration from across the pond

that's true Colin... indeed it is through our own perceptions, which are shaded with exactly what you said.. ego, vanity, lack of properly researched due diligence... (ha!) that we do view the world ... I get what you're saying... I only felt insignificance pressing down upon... in that moment, as I was hit by the stark realities of the world that yes, I know about... I just wasn't prepared to feel the pain of it juxtaposed against my little poem.

Nicely done ... crisp ... distilled ... the waters I swim in ... wonderful in technique ... and introspection ... so relatable on so many levels ...

I think the best way to write, is to your style. I am still undecided between dark and sensuality.

That's kind, Adagio. Why decide?.... combine the two and write both.... your own style is epic!

Old bones my fanny😄 To quote Tom Petty, "The waiting is the hardest part...don't let it kill ya babe don't let it get to you..."
"...left to dissolve in silence" is a beautifully descriptive passage.

This read like a pointillist masterpiece with each short line a point in the painting you create with the magic of a poet who needs few words. Truly you made art here in the truest sense.

If this isn’t mastery I don’t know what is. You have the dual poet’s talent to create something both meaningful and told with eloquence and a mastery of language and metaphor.

I like the innovative mechanics and effects of this, which were beautifully set into place!
(I do believe we are well structured to locate the negative aspect of existence, regardless of our stations, and if we are fortunate enough, also well structured to participate in horizontal contemplation, which possibly leads to other dual natured content... I enjoyed the write and your musings.)

I think in the minimalist approach, the choice of words is always more carefully selective and enigmatic, which adds to the mystery and wonder. You've also drawn us in with magical thoughts.
Great work.
Great work.

Hey there Walter!
Damn, I'd forgotten about this one and don't know if I still have issues with it, after rereading or not... lol.... I wasn't thrilled when I posted it, but I sometimes like to attempt styles that aren't as comfortable for me, challenging myself a little bit... I agree with you about word choices being the key to minimalism, absolutely! It's that ability to impact with a TKO punch of emotion that I know I really enjoy..... I feel like I was on the cusp, but never got quite there....I hope to continue to improve!
I appreciate your thoughtful comments and extremely kind words, my friend.
My heart sings, thinking that you could find a tad of magic within....
I'm deeply appreciative!

The message was not minimal. Being blue, Blue, is tough on us mentally. But you seem to have embraced happiness recently, and I hope the optimism continues.
