A deep expose on the need for women to stick together and why so many don't. Loved the way your lines are arranged and how they come together as a call for feminine solidarity. Too often women drag each other down or just don't unite. Your poem is a call for unity that is well needed and long overdue.

I can't tell you how much it means to me that there's some solidarity of thought surrounding this issue. I truly can't wrap my mind around why there's that tendency for some not to be as supportive as possible towards others or even get their hackles up when it's completely unwarranted. When one women does better, we all do. Help don't hinder.... are my thoughts (and hopes)

I agree with you but I also think there comes a time when if you see something fucked up say something. Attitudes don't change on their own and need to have the spotlight on them when they're wrong in hopes that scrutiny forces a change.... just my opinion.

Flowing righteous write ... bridled and focus anger ... but not rambling ranting ... the visuality of the poem is amazing ... the varying line length gives it a conversational quality ... if we all spoke poetically like this ... poignant message ... perfectly delivered ... go get'em B ...

I thank you for the encouragement, LilD. I'm glad you understood that sometimes you must call out bs actions to force scrutiny and therefore allow you to change to occur. It's not easy, changing hearts and minds. I hope that women supporting one another without that stereotypical nonsense, is something that happens sooner rather than later... It's so sad that angst and hateful ridiculous rivalries still happen like they do...Maybe with the disinfectant of sunshine, it will make it that much harder for infighting or silly bad blood to occur.

I write and avoid the swamp

Are Women going to war again men? Is this the condition to the Empowering term of women towards women, to leave menkind alone again?.. In my extents i definition that it is better, far better to content with love and kindness in the general term, then to raise one above the other, in race; sex or color. We define loving and kindliness towards another in the sense of hatred and this must stop; but to RAISE one above the other, gives stance to an unbalance that this universe has always had in it's definition to man/woman human kind. So i see empowering women by given them a just balance; rather when women rule the world and become so tainted with themselves that they enslave men. As a Being Centered on love and kindness, i submit to the consent that it must be done to not breach the gaps of them thinking they are higher then another but hold the center within themselves thus to empower of them that WHO are of them empowered. Perhaps this is the Main focal of this Theme and topic, and as such i oblige within it's Scent; But far to many women do not know that the true essence of love or the fall of kindness, and theirfore Hate in their hatred towards them who are of the humain; Other kind. So we See that this world is as it is and theirfore can not be ruled by men or women, but BY a being made whole in one.: YIN YANG

Pride and Ego is an enemy to both man and women, So to Content with this; Darkness can flut Over all of any Being. So My Recommendation is, Know the Person before you empower them into something that a beast may contain themselves to be. Regardless of men or women.  
But if we Trust in the Greater Good, This formation will happen of Which i'm Glad wherein Humanity is come Formed unto; By the Time I'm Gone. Shall it be better then it was found generations way Way before.

They're much appreciated and considered. To me, it's about balance, decency and respect. This piece is about women supporting other women, sure. However it's applicable to everyone, too.

Be the kindness you want to see in others.... that's pretty much it. That and the fact that I positively abhor it when I see woman actively attacking or belittling other women.... it's unacceptable to me.

This was just an attempt to spotlight that.

As they say, there is power in numbers… I attended a lecture and the presenter spoke as to how even the everyday language we all use shapes the the way we all behave toward women.

Thanks for reading... it's a heavier piece with a particular point of view, indeed... I hope the lecture you attended was eye opening... I know that I have made certain changes to myself, becoming more and more aware. I also have decided to not waste my own time and have continued to work on surrounding myself with positive and enlightened humans... period. We do our best at being the change we want to see by treating others how we'd hope to be treated ourselves, despite gender....it's a work in progress!

Although my major was Business Admin/Finance in college, I had to take a Women's Studies course to fulfill my GE requirements, I found it to be eye opening in many ways. I was raised by two very strong women, so I believe I was more receptive and understanding of the struggle, and now that I work at a college, many lectures and presentations are available to us.

Still, there is so much to learn, even as I've grown older and have seen changes in the workplace, there are still many things that need to be addressed and changed.
