You showed up in a dream last night
and you were not ok
You never said a word,
but tears were rolling down your face
I didn’t ask you questions,
just held you while you cried
And when I woke, the rain
was pouring down outside
I know that I can’t call you,
How random that would seem

if things were going wrong,

Housed on unsteady grounds
Shy on the attempt to bring up sharing space
Knew it’d be possible based on the feel

That moment when I struggle
It's not supposed to be

Don’t bite the hand that feeds
Don’t bite the hand that feeds”
is what my mother said to me
Food gives us life and pleasure
in health and sickness and
freedom and leisure
Fresh produce off our land
Lovingly laboured by our
farmers hand
It isn’t a romantic fantasy
living in the beautiful scenery
The troubles, toils, hardships
and labour
in weather conditions
we wouldn’t favour
It’s what our food has grown upon
with dedication and commitment
far outdone.
So as I recall the respect instilled in me
“Don’t bite the hand that feeds” ...
is what my mother said to me

I’m a beat off and i swim in my head
Your steady rhythm puts me back into
Real that I should pay attention to
You are the dorsal fin you keep me straight

You are BELIEVING THINGS
that you should not EVEN BELIEVE!!!
It is NOT TRUE, it is NOT EVEN REAL,
It is ALL in your CONSCIENCE,
It is ALL in how you FEEL,
It is ALL just TYPICAL, HYPOTHETICAL,
INFLUENTIAL, UNUSUAL,
BELIEVING your own THOUGHTS, and
The FACT that YOU ARE
DELUSIONAL, but
