Perseverance
It is a Mars thing.
Launched July 30, 2020
Florida heat
Arriving on February 18, 2021
Touching cold red soil
Jezero Crater, Mars
May it hold the answers you seek.
Robots like Rover and Ingenuity.
Tech like: Moxie, Range Trigger, MEDA, PIXL
RIMFAX, SHERLOC, SuperCam
To the smart folks
We all should pay attention to
Instead of the Influencers, Instagram Models,
Critics, Athletes and Talking heads
Kudos to you!
Here is to Perseverance paying off,
And your reaching for the Stars

Thanks Blue - Felt the humility watching the accomplishments of NASA and JPL. Just amazing brilliance and achievement.
Slapped this together in like 45 sec (it reflects this) just as the spacecraft was nearing Martian atmosphere. Thanks for the comment fellow star gazer.

I do study Astronomy, due in part, it correlates with my Charkas and Numerology quite passionately. In addition, this is such a great accomplishment for NASA and for mankind on this historical day. With climate control and cloud seeding in its first attempt to land the perseverance rover on Mars, and to complete the mission as a success, being Mars is much colder than Earth.
We had the Great Conjunction in 2020. And then this astonishingly feat, hopefully it will be the beginning of an acceptable gateway to send humans to orbit for vastly studying this planet in the distance future. I feel honored that we have made this finally occur, and not give such an present acclaim or credence to Russia's astronauts attempting this once again despite the many failed attempts and aborted missions in the past; one must aloe take into consideration, they have international space station. Keep in mind, however, three soviets did make it to Mars in 1971 through 1973; it has been documented two crashed and one had died within seconds of landing on Mars.
A very nice informative musing my wandering poet, please enjoy your late evening as well

Wow, not only ravishing but an interest in space and science. Impressed with your knowledge. Then again as an "Angel", the heavenly realm is your domain. Thanks for your read and comment
I wasn't aware of Russian astronauts attempting to land on Mars, my understanding was they sent numerous probes, one actually landing and sending data for only a few moments.

I suspect the future will bring domestic, Inter-national and Private endeavors to the red planet.

Perseverance. Aptly chosen name. A reminder to us that we should never give up.

Love it... a great reminder of how the Internet can be a treasure trove of knowledge or a colossal waste of time. lol And keeping an eye on the stars... Where we truly can find something new and exciting. :)

We cannot physically survive as humans on other planets without compromising being human
in it of itself. As Androids it’s possible obviously, but then we aren’t human anymore, I can’t see any other way. I imagine what that will be like .
Im Currently reading The Future of Humanity
By Michio KaKu renowned American theoretical physicist, futurist. It’s pretty interesting.
Hugs brother 🤗♥️

A worthy celebration! I like all things space, so loved this. Perseverance is a great name for both the spacecraft and the poem. I agree that we should admire scientists, programmers and all other kinds of intellectuals, rather than vacuous 'celebrities' who are famous for their faces, bodies, domestic drama and/or taking their clothes off.
