what about this one
Just because your hair is short
don't mean you ain't no emily
there's talk you brought a bottle
to the fountain, they say Timoteì
but I know different
either way the youth you drank
still wears you
whatever it was you paid

Olah, Daniel of the Saxaphone
since you bited: there is a poet sifting through my stuff to find publishable scribbles, the title is a temporary attenation grabber. if it gets picked I might change it

I'm thinking whatever they paid for that Timotei, they should be getting at least a partial refund. It's not even salon quality. If I had to guess, though, it was probably rum, and it was probably £25.99 :)
on an editorial note, unless that "wathever" stands for "what the hell ever", we'll need to be changing it to "whatever" :)
Cute li'l blurb

“... the youth you drank still wears you” is a gorgeous line. This has the air of a folk song about it, which is probably just down to the authenticity of your voice. There's never any bullshit, no what Stephen King called “look how nice I'm writing ma!” stuff.

Makes me think the fountain of youth was a myth and it was always what was in the bottle. I love this ditty muchly mister. :)

Kind of make me thinks of how youth is not only fleeting, but kinda plastic if you think about it. It’s everything that we run away from being in the first place. Almost as lingering as the smell of timotei that still haunts my nostrils from childhood.
Interesting reflection here.

Told you I'd be reading more.
I like this one too. Subtle, tongue-in-cheek positive inuendos -- and a wonderful compliment to the object (subject) of your affection. Can't pay for some things: they're priceless.
Sincerely
cab
