Image for the poem a lifelong gasp in bloom.

a lifelong gasp in bloom.

i lay
coveted
and covered
euphoric heart's desire-
'O herculean desire
that steals my breath;
i gladly gasp in bloom
my whole world
of these always and forever dreams—
how I gleam
to transcend and glow
with pounding chest;
a scented crest
tears undying, flow
as this true loves yearling,
My love, lavender
sweet field of true,
pure purple beauty
bursting forth
from nature's hand,
~whispers a release
of her certainty
in royal majesty
i pause,
in a wholely ardent still
laying forevermore
spellbound
and cradled
within nature's
breathless surround
