Dear Lady Titanium, I identify very much with this poignant piece. I have truly felt such vascillations in my own life. It is maddening how indeterminate practically every aspect of life is now. I hope it is a comfort that many of us are experiencing the same malaise. Thank you for your wonderful words.

I meet a friend every few weeks who lives close by
We go to a plaza between 2 buildings, a couple of benches and a few tables
He's my friend but we can't shake hands
Sometimes we tap elbows
He let's his guard down and puts his mask on his chin

The echoing lines are terrific technique to bring across that sense of inner turmoil. It's a very relatable piece, with touching sense of vulnerability and candor about it.

I can truly feel the pull of this, BT.  It cannot be easy with teenagers. It's not easy with a 10 year-old; however, that is nothing compared to teens constantly " I want'ing " this or that. It was difficult enough for a mother to find adequate space and peace BEFORE the pandemic—afterward has made it virtually impossible.

Trust me, the same can be true for Nana's as well.
