A Life of Uncertainty

Just shaking my head
Mixed voices
Different opinions
Gossipers
Church goers
Politicians
Saying this
Saying that
The world is coming to an end
No wait
This is the new beginning
Protesters becoming
Bowling pins
Screaming
Holding signs
Black Lives Matter
While destroying
Outside scenic views
Confederate monuments
Banning a flag
Changing of names
Will stop racism
Hiding the past
Will only repeat itself
And some people
No longer say
Master bedroom
Just shaking my head
While I everyday face
The effects of COVID-19
Masks in public places
Spikes of more to come
Some states has closed their door
Once again
Statistics showing
A mass killing
That nobody
Knows how to stop
Social distancing
More like segregation
Now it's okay
To sit my family
Next to a restroom
Social distance
Protecting us all
From what we can't see
Stares from strangers
Looking at others
Like they're the carrier
Of the coronavirus
Instead of
Gripping purses
They quickly move away
From the paths of others
This pandemic
Is so sci-fi
I hate to live it
Slowing down my spending
Not knowing
Will I be going to work
Tomorrow
