Angel or Tramp
I was supposed to be your angel
And I only had to give my wings to you
Come to sleep with me that's what you said
I will show you heaven and how to fly without wings
You like it when you can play with me
And I am allowed to have unbridled lust in you
While you continue to sell me heaven
But are you lying to me about your intentions
I don't want to be just a tramp for you
You can't just take my body and nothing else
You told me the more I wanted you
I should think of you as a mere mistake
And still you torment me with offers of heaven

This is such a treatise of innocence, KristinaX, I had to tell you how much I enjoyed reading it.
Some element of naivety, perhaps, but the persona is hearing an inner voice and learning to become more guarded. Your free-verse writing style seems to mirror the state of uncertainty of the persons, who is grappling for a measure of fleeting assurance.

Insecurities are the worst. They make us question every move and amplify self doubt. Argh! Your poem is brutally honest with the word play in your mind. Redirect the direction. Such a beautiful comment, I am not sure what to say to that. :) Thank you. I am sure we will work through our stuff, there are always two sides to everything. Originally I had planned to write about positive things but it seems easier and more therapeutic to write about challenges. It's the way of things. :)

How did you know? Tramps can become angels... it’s written on the ground. Sometimes we can’t see the tramps wings, we blinded by the rock of righteousness we hold. Don’t let the dog scare you. It can’t really judge, forgiveness is his Kryptonite. Angels with white wings and Angels with black wings... their message is the same they are both pure. The only difference is the angels with black or dark wings practice the art of creation.

This was such a beautiful and vulnerable spill. I can wholeheartedly empathize your feelings of self doubt and worth. I struggle with this as well. Perhaps things aren't so black and white? You're certainly not a tramp, but I don't think any of us are angels either. Just my take ;)
If you give someone your all and they mislead you, it can be pretty detrimental to your self image. Just remember, at the end of the day, you have the power to decide your own self worth! That's always been a powerful (re)realization 😊

Very wise words. Yes, things are almost never black and white and I will make no actual claims of being a perfect angel. When you give your all you do open yourself up to feeling more of the positive but also more of the negative. Still working on the deciding my self worth bit. So many people enter into loveless relationships, or at least one sided ones. If we were taught as kids that in order to love someone we first need to learn to love ourselves, I believe we'd all be much happier. Easier said than done, I know.

It's a beautiful message. Thank you. I think nature and nurture both influence our insecurities so some people seem to develop them easier because of how we are wired. But we all have our challenges and insecurities to overcome. :) (and we definitely collect them along the way.. that is so true)

So often someone just wants the body. But a relationship is about so much more. Sex is easy, but the other things make it so much more rewarding. I don't want to just have sex with someone with no connection or feelings. I know I am a very sexual person but rest assured that does not mean I just have meaningless sex with lots of people. So when that's all someone wants then it's time to make a change. Thanks for giving me your thoughts on this one Ted.
