Image for the poem delicate

delicate

delicate dawn whisper to the day
awaken to the beauty of the morning
the birds chatter stirring my happiness

a sleepy soul stretched and came into the beauty
the tree denizens guard my house true
while I yet lay sleeping

rested I entered the day
a pink sunrise gently ushered me in
little wisps of clouds decorate the skies above
dew drops kiss each blade of green
the world was new again
made pure from the heaviness of the day before

I looked heavenward knowing
the glory lay in nature
you can't deny her truth
no matter the darkness of humanity

she remains innocent
constant in her pursuits
