I had bern feeling this way for awhile but didn't know how to pivot.
The change feels good !!

You, and humanity both need darkness. It’s serves a purpose. It’s about balance, responsibility, self awareness,wholeness. I would argue that your writing sex poem is the very thing that allows you to understand, connect, and intimately manage the darkness within you. After all,  repressed darkness bleeds out into our lives and often those close to us, with little awareness and great consequence. Never run from darkness, channel it. With that said, it may also have become an area of comfort, growth happens when we push our selfs to a point of discomfort. So, step outside that comfort zone! Keep trying. Do both! It’s all about balance, my friend. Be a bit light and darkness in this world .

Darkness has always been my comfort so wholesomeness 24/7 would be a challenge and unwanted.   This new mindset Is something that has been stirring in me for awhile.  How to merge all the forces within me.
One day at a time as the story goes .....

I Walk the Line

Wow, Julia said it so well!! I still struggle with the balance.

I've been asked to do one of those annoying "share your favourite books" things on facebook, and my pick for today is Learning to Walk in the Dark by Barbara Brown Taylor. Perhaps a little too theological for some, but it's been an important book for me. Funny your poem should pop up just when I'm thinking about that!

As always, I dig the art. Don't banish those black spots.

One of my kids wore all beige the other day. Thought of you immediately and I had to bite my tongue not to swear at him! It's pretty clear I don't choose his clothes. 😆

I’m fair skinned and if I wore too much beige I would melt into the void.  Can’t  allow that !!

Actually I try to avoid all beige  

Your kids will grow up and merge left I’m sure !

This is lovely PS.  Reflects the other side of you as a poet and artist, soft and gentle side that you hide from the glare of lights. Nothing wrong with darkness we all have that inside us and I think darkness serves a purpose in our life. It is a place to hide, a refuge for our pain. But it should not overwhelm the light inside us. They must be balanced. 🙂

I try to clean up very now and again but I always get pulled  ack in because I'm a criminal at heart,  Bukowski like and nerd to run free.

I spent a lot of time in detention when I was in high school

I like that this is honest, vulnerable and raw. No fucks given, just as poetry and art is meant to be expressed.
