Empty

I miss you.
I miss you even when you're here,
Because you're never really here,
Not anymore,
And everything's always my fault, and may be, forevermore.
Not the YouTube you spend hours on,
When you're here, you're still gone.
You're eyes are empty,
They are hollow, and your words are nothing but a copy
That you hear from the internet,
You're living dead.
I've never been one to blame and bash the internet,
And I still won't fully, it's done technical wonders for our society, and yet
When I see what it's gross overuse has done to who you used to be,
These are your formative years, this is what you may be
If you keep this up,
If your free will and intelligence continue to give up,
Continue to take the backseat,
And put the videos on repeat.
What lies hidden behind those eyes?
Is there still a personality, hidden behind those eyes?
What lies behind the guise?
Behind the shild
That you do wield
To keep yourself from the world,
Keeping you socially crippled.
You have become empty, and a speaker
That replays everything that you do hear.
Where did the you I knew, go?
Why has this happed so?
You need an intervention,
Need to learn, and expand your comprehension.
I miss you.
I miss you even when you're here.
I wish you could hear
The tears I cry
For the lost years that have gone by.

...You're dead on the outside,
Please, don't die in the inside.
