Therapy

He visits a psychotherapist
A pragmatic woman through-and-through
He eyes her through a teary mist
And hopes that he can start anew

He tells her of his sordid past
The sins burdening his soul
How the evils still may last
How they still seem to play their role

She informs him that he yet can change
Find normalcy with assistance
She does not consider him so strange
Tells him to stay and take a chance

So he opts for therapy
Hoping she can show the way
But "normalcy" can be a travesty
It may remain for her to say.
