I'm So Unsure

I do not know if I can do this, saying I was going for Master's Degree in Nursing sounded so beautiful to say, boast, advising me I was putting my best foot forward in life; setting aside all the roadblocks that would hinder my mental progress.  
 
Is this the road all my generational Nurses, Nurse Practitioners, and Midwives in my family had to take, were there ever any doubts of them failing such as what I am feeling and it is only my first day. I have a year and a half, it could had been much longer, had I not had any college credits to transfer from my Bachelor's Degree program.
 
My grann is counting on me, I do believe she wants me to take over her practice some day. And how can I refuse, she is the one who put me on the road to my generational calling at the age of sixteen.  
 
I hope day two is much better, if not... it hurts my heart just to think of the dire consequences and all the people in my family here, in Santo Domingo, France, and Haiti who I will be letting down, why when it comes to my generation, I'm the only one who is getting cold feet.  
 
I do very well as a Nursing Director, but to my family that just is not enough, not acceptable by their standards.  
 
As they say, welcome to their club, can't I enter with the VIP pass... better yet let them do my schooling.
 
I need you God more now than ever, I DON"T KNOW IF I CAN DO THIS
